Product Review: Apple Pencil vs Logitech Crayon

Posted by Alexandra Shearer on May 8, 2019 11:48:44 AM

A couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to have received a box of presents from our friends over at Logitech. We are still unpacking this box of goodies and trying out our new toys.

One of the products that we found really cool was the Logitech Crayon. Several of the BES team love using the Apple Pencils to take notes and sketches on their iPads during meetings, so we were excited to be able to compare a similar product brought to us by Logitech. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a good old product comparison?

                               01-1                               02-1

We found the Apple Pencil and the Logitech Crayon had a number of significant differences. One thing we really liked about the Apple pencil was that you can charge it directly from your iPad - so there’s no need to carry around any charging cords. This also makes it nice and discreet to charge during a meeting!

If your meetings are more on the collaborative side, then the Logitech Crayon might be the one for you. The crayon is very easy to share across devices. All you need to do is turn it on and then start writing or sketching on any device, whereas the Apple Pencil needs to be connected via Bluetooth and can only be used on one device at a time.

One thing to keep in mind is that each of these products have their own shape, so you will need to make sure your case fits the product you prefer! STM have a range of cases that will fit either of these products neatly with your iPad or notebook.
